
Intern Required: Bachelor of Mass Media – Editorial Outreach & PR Support
About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated Bachelor of Mass Media (BMM) student or recent graduate as an intern to support editorial outreach and PR tasks for an impactful healthcare communication assignment. This role is best suited for someone who wants hands-on exposure to real PR work and media coordination while building a portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and maintain an up-to-date contact list of editors, journalists, and content managers at leading newspapers, magazines, and digital media platforms focused on health, wellness, or human-interest stories.
Reach out to these media contacts to understand editorial needs, propose ideas for articles, stories, interviews, or podcasts, and secure opportunities.
Draft and send professional pitch emails and follow-ups.
Coordinate and schedule calls or meetings with editors and maintain clear communication records.
Keep detailed trackers of outreach, responses, submissions, and published pieces.
Assist in drafting press notes, background briefs, and basic story material.
Support general PR activities like monitoring relevant news coverage and identifying new story opportunities.
Requirements:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s in Mass Media, Journalism, Mass Communication, or related field.
Must own a personal laptop in good working condition.
Must be able to dedicate at least 90 minutes per day, five days a week, to the internship.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Strong email writing and follow-up skills.
Highly organized, self-motivated, and professional in communication.
Internship Terms:
Compensation: Rs.6000
Location: Remote
Internship certificate and Letter of Recommendation will be provided upon successful completion and satisfactory performance.
